Training and Learning for Communications
| Learning Goal: The goal of this course is to enhance the abilities of the Public Safety Dispatcher in their response to High Profile/Critical Missing Person cases. The course will provide students with information on the laws that pertain to missing person cases. They will analyze high profile cases, learn about technology available to locate missing persons, develop a risk assessment that can be used back at the Communications Center and learn about search types and techniques. A focus of the course will be the critical time element that exists in a child abduction. Brief Description: This course give dispatchers the information they need so they can enhance their skills. Dispatchers make a difference everyday and this course gives them the information they need to do this. Target Student Audience: Dispatch Personnel – Call Takers, Dispatchers, Supervisors, and Managers. Also, any employee tasked with taking, managing and processing Missing Person Reports. Class Length: 8, 16 or 24 hours – Your Choice Tuition: Depends on the length of the class and location. Typically our costs are $75 to $95 per student per 8 hour day.
