| Learning Goal: The goal of this course is to enhance the abilities of the Public Safety Dispatcher in their response to Sexual Assault calls. The course will provide students with information on the laws that pertain to Sexual Assault cases. Course material covers victim affect, call taking skills, evidence preservation, the role of the Sexual Assault Response Teams and Drug Facilitated Sexual Assault. A variety of real call recordings will be used. Brief Description: This course give dispatchers the information they need so they can enhance their skills in relation to Sexual Assault Calls. Dispatchers make a difference everyday and this course gives them the information they need to do this. Target Student Audience: Dispatch Personnel – Call Takers, Dispatchers, Supervisors, and Managers. Class Length: 8 hours Tuition: Depends on location. $75 to $95 per student. Certification: California Agencies: A similar course is offered tuition free by San Diego Regional Training Center for California Agencies.
